Amelie Demarais by DigitalRevolution Amelie Demarais by DigitalRevolution
History: Amelie was apart of a failed government experiment in Paris where she was born. Due to the nature of her body’s ability to regenerate cells, she became a highly skilled blood alchemist.
After the project was dissolved, Amelie moved to the sates to avoid being terminated. She enlisted in public school and survived by working on the black market as a bounty hunter. However, she's been out of high school for a few years now and things are starting to heat up.

I’ve always loved the whole secret government experiment plot. I don’t know if it’s common, but it’s just her experiment section that uses alchemy. Though, my alchemy is a bit different from what I think most people understand it to me. I hope it works out alright. I really want to become better in conveying motion and showing weight and action. So OCTs seem like a perfect way to force me to practice all that stuff.

i like the whole experiment plot, i dont think its too common.

I like this character but I have an issue. Ok, so she is great at alchemy right? There's no exact definition of what that means on your ref sheet. The original alchemists were known to try and create gold out of common minerals (a get rich quick scheme that did not work out.) now APPOSED TO THAT is the FMA alchemist, who can basically do the whole "if there is one element it can become anything that takes the same amount of energy"

I am assuming you are referring to the later type, but for the conveinience of the judges and other contestants, you MAY want to specify

other than that good job, I look forward to your audition

Well there is a few ways to look at this.
1.) The alchemist that were trying to find a way to make gold. That was their goal, not what they really tried to do. They more or less came up with chemistry magic.

2.) I haven’t read much of FMA, but from what I understood of it, they could do just about the same, of more complex. Ed couldn’t make any like water if all he had were rocks.
It’s part of her weaknesses that Amelie can only make things out of what she has, and I intend to make that my weakness too. If all Amelie has around her in the story to work with is stone, I’d better know the chemical/ elemental components of what she’s going to “transmute.” I will say that a lot of Amelie’s power abilities comes from books and shows that I’ve watched, but I’m sure we all fabricate truths and logic for a decent fantasy story.
Anyways, thank you for pointing this confusion out.
I am looking forward to see the rest of your audition as well. Let’s do our best!

well, alchemists were real. I mean, REAL alchemists could not use magic, but I understand.

So yes, back to work :U

hahah awesome~!.. lol it's really difficult to make a profile about a fictional character.. (in my opinion) if it's derogatory, you really don't want to relate it to any body that you know.. lol great job~!

Haha, thanks, but I love making characters, and even if it is derogatory of someone I know, it's not as if there isn't some good parts.

hahah.. true.. but there's also some ppl out there that believe that there are some characteristics that just dont belong...and make the comment that it's retarded.. or something like that

Are you trying to tell me something?

But yeah, I know what you mean. However, people aren't like that. What I mean is "that there are some characteristics that just don’t belong" is a really silly assumption. I hope those people keep their comments to themselves to save their self-esteem. It's like telling a jock straight to their face being a jock is all they should be. The difference between a flat character and a round character is confliction and contrast.
All of us have personalities that don’t belong and I think that it’s what makes us human, our self agents self struggles.

Haha no I'm not telling you anything.. I'm just bored..and I'm attempting to go on deviant art more often.... (I've been given some complaints) and part of your reply has been cut off by the "original" and "Reply" hyperlink.. but still.. I really like your creativity with that character.. the personality part almost reminds me of you.. XP

Oh yeah! We have a foreign exchange student named Amelie, and I fell in love with the name, but she’s kind of stuck up. The best thing about working for the yearbook is you get to read all the really interesting names.
